Hello, my name is Pieter and I have been practising the WimHofMethod for more than two years now. Every year around spring the tap water warms up and I don't like that. In my search for a solution I created the iceshower. On the internet I saw all kinds of products to make your water colder but they were all too complex. Too big and bulky. All I wanted was a good cold shower for 2 minutes below 15 degrees Celcius. According to the theory this is enough to reach all the health benefits.
After a couple of tests I made some iceshowers for my friends and they were all enthusiastic. There is always room for improvement but the system needs to stay simple to be succesful.
Now every morning I go to my kitchen, get my cups of ice out of the freezer, give them a splash of water so they crack and hit them gently with a hammer so they break into nice small blocks. I put the blocks in the iceshower together with 2/ 2,5 liters of water from the fridge (about 7 degree), then let it rest for 5 minutes. I like to start with a warm shower and at the end I turn the tap to it's coldest position and then run the water through the ice shower (I have my iceshower connected to my hand shower). I love it, a rush for the body and the mind.
